PROJECT STAKES: It was June 2021, amid the COVID-19 pandemic slowdown. I led a small travel crew to film CEO Dan Schulman and partners as they discussed PayPal’s commitment to meaningful generational impact and investment in the fight against racial inequality. The campaign messaging was significant and forward-thinking; it was a privilege to produce and empower/embrace this content. Filming took place in Jackson, Mississippi, San Jose, California, and Chicago, Illinois. Despite a jam-packed shoot schedule and potential health risks, I prioritized our team's safety during production and travel, effectively directing the set and executing Zoom interviews with the Fortune Editorial Team.

<— Back in New York, at the Walker Hotel, the day after the crew returned home, I realized we had quietly entered a rare and wild collective reality. Health equity and access are fundamental principles we must take seriously for a healthy society.
